The closest people get is "Ire spirit.” Here, it means you are received with open arms. It means the guest gets the best piece of fruit, the freshest sip, and the warmest plate first. It means: this is my home, and now it is yours too. You belong here long before you ever have to prove yourself. You are family the minute you step foot in the Yard.
In Jamaica, we have a way of welcoming you that standard words just can’t capture.
The closest people get is “Ire spirit.” Here, it means you are received with open arms. It means the guest gets the best piece of fruit, the freshest sip, and the warmest plate first. It means: this is my home, and now it is yours too. You belong here long before you ever have to prove yourself. You are family the minute you step foot in the Yard.
And then, there is Jamaica itself.
Three nights on the untouched South Coast. You’ll start where the Caribbean Sea lets you unwind—secluded beaches, peaceful rivers, and pure relaxation.
Five nights in the heart of Kingston. You will step into the pulse of the island. You will stand there, feel the deep resonance of the culture, and you will not be standing there alone. There will be people beside you who feel the spirit without needing a word explained.
Small group. Pure vibes. Zero performance. Welcome home.
This is the trip.
This trip is for people who want to experience Jamaica deeply, comfortably, and with the right people around them.
You have wanted to experience Jamaica and want to go with people, not alone or with a busload of strangers.
You are tired of figuring out every little detail while traveling alone and want the important pieces handled ahead of time.
The hotels, guides, drivers, and rooms have already been checked out so you can simply arrive and settle in.
Whether you're traveling solo, as a pair, or with one friend, you'll arrive to a group where you already belong.
This one is small on purpose.
I came to this country with twenty dollars and three borrowed flannel shirts, in an Atlanta winter, which tells you everything about how much I knew.
I am Jamaican. I have lived in Harlem for twenty-six years. I spend my days in private banking, which is where I learned that the numbers do not lie and neither should you.
Through My Lens started by accident in 2019, when two friends asked me to show them Jamaica the way I know it — not the way the brochure knows it.
We had the best week of that year. People kept asking me to do it again.
Seven years later, I still plan every trip myself. I walk the hotels. I meet the guides. I know which rooms are the good ones.
And I still travel with every single group, because the whole point is the room, and you cannot build the room from home.
Each property was chosen for the same reason: you should be able to exhale when you walk into the room.
Start where the Caribbean Sea lets you unwind — surrounded by secluded beaches, peaceful rivers, and pure relaxation.
Then step into the pulse of the island and experience the deep resonance of Jamaican culture.
Beautifully appointed private bedrooms
Spacious shared living and outdoor areas
Pool / ocean-view lounging space
Where you sleep is part of the story.
There are 12 travelers maximum on this departure, with 5 rooms remaining at single or double occupancy.
These groups are intentionally kept small because small is the whole product.
When the seats are gone, they are gone — and Jamaica will not be back on the calendar until 2028.
