Ghana 2027: A Cultural Homecoming from Capital to Coast
10 days of story, soul, and unforgettable connection across Ghana’s vibrant cities, and ancestral sites.
Over 10 immersive days, you’ll journey through Ghana’s rich cultural landscape, from the sacred rivers of Assin Manso, the royal heritage of Kumasi, to the ocean-washed history of Cape Coast and Elmina. You’ll be guided by the rhythms of kente weaving and drumbeats, nourished by homemade jollof and fresh fruit, and grounded by history that is both difficult and dignified. Along the way, you’ll connect with Ghanaian guides, explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites, take part in a traditional naming ceremony, and walk the canopy bridges of a rainforest. And through it all, you’ll be hosted by the TML team — so you never have to worry about logistics or planning. This experience is designed for travelers who are ready to go deeper — into culture, into history, and into themselves.
Who Is This Trip For
This trip is for you if:
– You have wanted West Africa for years, and you wanted to go with people, not alone
and not with a busload of strangers.
– You are tired of being the only one in the group, and of the small daily arithmetic that
comes with it.
– You want somewhere that has been checked out ahead of you, the hotels, the guides,
the drivers, the rooms you will walk into.
– You are traveling solo, as a pair, or with one friend, and you want to land somewhere
that already feels like it has a seat with your name on it.
– You believe a good trip should change something, not just fill a photo album.
This trip is probably not for you if you want a resort you never leave, a packed party
schedule, or a group so large you can disappear in it. This one is small on purpose.

Day 8: Saturday, Oct 23 | AFRIMUDA Children's Dance Performance
AFRIMUDA Children’s Dance Performance
This is very personal for me. I met the children of AFRIMUDA in 2023, and from that very meeting, they stayed with me.
They’re resilient. Joyous. Kind. Full of wonderment. Each year, we return to connect with these beautiful children, led by their fearless leader, Baba Zie. And each year, they remind me of something I already know deep in my heart: the power of resilience, joy, and wonder.
Perhaps that is why our connection feels so personal.
I was raised in a village in Jamaica for the first 12 years of my life. When I look at these children, I see something familiar-the simplicity, the curiosity, the laughter, the strength, and the ability to find joy in the little things.
When I see them, I see me.
And perhaps that is why this connection means so much. It is not about giving back. It is about recognizing where we come from, and reminding ourselves that resilience can be inherited, joy can be cultivated, and wonder should never be lost.
Every year, they give me as much as I hope to give them.
